Padres Win Despite Getting Just Two Hits

by @ 2:49 am. Filed under 2007 Padres

While not your standard game at PETCO, this is definitely the type of score you’d expect from two great young pitchers.  Chris Young threw seven shutout innings and while he may not have been much better then Matt Cain, he walked away with the win.  Young gave up just four hits and two walks with five strikeouts.

The lone run came in the seventh inning and of course it happened without a hit. Geoff Blum drove home Khalil Greene with a sac. fly for the 1-0 win.

Clay Hensley gets the start tonight.  Hopefully he can bounce back from a poor first start and we can nab this series without even having to go to the rubber game.
