The Padres evened up their series with the Dodgers last night behind a very strong outing by Jake Peavy. He gave up just a single run on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts and he’s now a perfect 2-0. It’s interesting that Peavy’s strikeouts are a touch down yet he’s as effective as ever. Whatever he’s doing, I hope he continues to do it because he’s winning.
Kevin Kouzmanoff had a nice game as he’s trying to break out of a slump. He hit his first homerun of the season and he drove in two and scored twice. Terrmel Sledge had two singles, two runs and an RBI while Brian Giles homered and drove in two runs.
The rubber game is today and it’ll be in the spotlight because of the Jackie Robinson celebration. Chris Young will take on Randy Wolf.
