Adrian Gonzalez hit a huge walk off RBI double in the bottom of the ninth yesterday as the Padres topped the Rockies 3-2.  Gonzalez also drove in the tying run earlier in the game in the seventh inning on a sac. fly so it was pretty solid game for the first baseman.

David Wells had a decent start in his season debut.  He gave up just two runs on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.  Trevor Hoffman ended up with the win after a shutout ninth.

Jake Peavy gets the start in the series finale.  He’ll face Aaron Cook and the winner walks away with the series.
